Day 2 Itinerary

Start - Finish: Ridgewell - Harwich

Cycling Distance: 70 miles (112 km)

Ascent: 3700 feet (1130 metres)

Route Overview

It's downstream all the way to Harwich now, but it's certainly not downhill all the way. If anything, the climbs are a bit steeper and longer than yesterday. It's all good for the legs though.

Points of Interest en-route

There's lots of gorgeous countryside to enjoy today when the gradient allows. Great Henny, Lamarsh, Wormingford and Boxted are particularly good vantage points giving nice panoramic views of the Stour Valley.

And when you get to Manningtree and see the Stour estuary, you can breathe a sigh of relief that you're now on the home straight to Harwich and a well earned pint in one of the quayside pubs.
